Roofana ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit roofana.com, request a quote, place an order, or interact with our partner or realtor programs.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

Information you give us directly: Name, email address, phone number, home address, payment information, and any other details you provide when requesting a quote, placing an order, signing up as a roofing partner or realtor, or contacting us.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, time spent on pages, and similar usage data via cookies and analytics tools.

Information from third parties: Property data from aerial measurement services (EagleView, Google Solar API), credit information from financing partners (Service Finance, Notable), and referral attribution from real estate partners.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate roof measurements, pricing, and quotes
• Process orders, payments, and installations
• Communicate with you about your quote, order, scheduling, and project updates
• Send you marketing communications if you have opted in
• Match qualified partners to your project
• Process commissions for realtor partners
• Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud
• Improve our products and services

4. SMS / Text Message Communications

Roofana uses text messaging to communicate with customers, partners, and realtors. SMS communications are opt-in only. By checking the SMS consent boxes during signup or quote request, you agree to receive automated text messages.

Types of SMS we send:

• Transactional: Quote delivery, order confirmation, install scheduling, photo approval requests, payment receipts, project status updates
• Marketing: Special offers, seasonal promotions, referral asks, partner co-marketing (only if separately opted in)

Frequency: Message frequency varies. Active orders typically receive 5–15 messages over the course of the project. Marketing messages are limited to fewer than 4 per month.

Costs: Message and data rates may apply per your wireless carrier.

How to opt out: Reply STOP to any text from Roofana at any time. You will receive a confirmation message and no further texts. You may also opt out by emailing privacy@roofana.com.

Consent is not a condition of service: You can request a quote, place an order, or participate in our partner or realtor programs without consenting to SMS. If you decline SMS, we will communicate with you via email and phone instead.

5. How We Share Your Information

We share information only with parties who help us deliver our services or as required by law:

• Partners: When you order a roof, the partner assigned to your project receives your name, address, phone, email, and project details.
• Realtor partners: If you were referred by a realtor, the referring realtor sees that you requested a quote and ordered a roof, along with the order amount (but not your full payment details).
• Payment processors: Service Finance, Notable, and our credit card processor receive payment information as needed to process transactions.
• Service providers: Hosting (Vercel, Supabase), email and SMS providers (GoHighLevel, Resend), aerial measurement (EagleView), and analytics tools.
• Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or to protect against fraud.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Typical retention periods:

• Active customer records: duration of project plus 7 years for warranty
• Quote requests that did not convert: 18 months
• SMS consent records: minimum 4 years (TCPA compliance)
• Financial records: 7 years (tax law)

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information (with some exceptions for warranty, financial, and legal records)
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Opt out of SMS messages (reply STOP)
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

8. Cookies

We use cookies to remember your preferences, track quote progress, and analyze site usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work properly without them.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted database storage, hashed passwords (bcrypt), and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.

10. Children's Privacy

Roofana's services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers.
